Definition of Web Ministry

Web Ministry: serving through use of the Internet, tech tools, and social media.

My Story

Upon completing my Masters degree from Tyndale Seminary, I continued to serve in my part-time role on the pastoral staff at my home church. My wife and I started a blog, podcast show, and YouTube channel and used social media to keep connected with our online community.

Several personal friends began connecting with me in order to seek recommendations for beginning web ministries of their own. I also began doing consulting work by helping others achieve their web ministry goals. My friend Rob Patterson invited me to speak with him at the local Christian Bookstore in order discuss the topic of Church & Technology to a group of local pastors. I shared how e-mail lists and newsletters are effectives way to communicate with the church throughout the mid-week.

Why This Learn Web Ministry Blog?

This site was designed to continue the connection with pastors from the Christian Bookstore and ministry leaders around the world. I do not consider myself to be a web ministry expert. Instead, this site is merely a place to share what I’ve learned  along the way.
